Taking It To The Streets
Liberty Church

One thing that all Christians who walk in victory share, is the knowledge that God
is a
good, loving, holy, and perfect God; and that He is worthy to receive all glory,
and honor, and power.
This kind of confidence as a believer, keeps you strong through the storms of life; and here at Liberty, one of our overriding goals is to teach the Word of God. It is the Word that is firmly planted in one’s heart and mind that keeps them from being crushed under the weight of the multitude of problems offered up by a fallen world.
Disciples of Christ will go through many troubles (just as Jesus promised); but their ability to grow in greater faith comes through the super-natural strength of God’s Holy Word being active in their life.
We do not believe a Christian should ever stop learning. A Christian that is not learning, is a Christian that is not growing; and God has called us to develop into the mature Christian He knows we can be.
It seems that as time draws on, many have pulled away from personal study of the Bible, and many have pulled away from group Bible study; and this is becoming evident in the weakness of our witness in our present day culture.
Christians here much talk about being salt and light; but can be neither if they do not understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
As believers, we must have a desire to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then and only then will our efforts at attracting the lost to Christ be fruitful.
The writer of Hebrews 10:24-25 gives us one the most sobering commands for the believer, and that is “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. “
Only those who believe and understand the teachings of Christ with sincere urgency in their hearts decide to exercise such faith.
God has called those who are born-again a peculiar people. If this is true, then why do we blend in so well with the world?
I want to encourage you today; no better yet, I beseech you by the mercies of God, It is time we become a called out people who have a knowledge of the One who died for us.
May God bless you as you seek to mature in your relationship with the King of kings.

Pastor Mike Callis
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
