Whether we are stocking our food pantry for local families in need, or we are trying to help ongoing efforts in China, it is God’s people that are always willing to provide the necessary help that is needed.
There is a verse in the Book of Ruth showing how God uses us to bless others, that is often overlooked. In Ruth 2:12, Boaz tells Ruth that God would repay her for her hard work and faithfulness; and that a full reward would be found under the wings of the Lord God of Israel in whom she sought refuge.
We only have to read chapter 2 (and the Book as a whole), to see that it is Boaz himself who provided the protection, provision; and that through his hands, Ruth and Naomi received great blessings.
God worked His mercy and compassion through the life of Boaz; and Boaz recognized that his wealth and power was given to him by God for the purpose of blessing others.
